Matcha: Over Or Underrated?

In our opinion, matcha is worth the hype. If you haven’t tried incorporating it into your routine yet, here are some reasons you should!

Matcha contains a high amount of antioxidants and catechins like EGCG, which makes this tea a nutrient powerhouse. These components help to fight inflammation and harmful free radicals present in the body.

Reduce the risk of chronic disease

Heart disease is one of the most prominent chronic diseases around the world. It is worth highlighting the catechin EGCG again, for its anti-atherosclerotic properties which prevent the build-up of plaque in our arteries, therefore preventing heart attacks.

Weight loss

Drinking matcha provides sustained energy which can increase our energy expenditure and boost our metabolism.

Not a fan of drinking matcha?

You can throw it in your smoothies, in oatmeal, pancakes, baking, or even making your own matcha cream cheese!

Here are some brands we recommend:

Four Sigmatic

This is great for you if you are just starting out with matcha. This brand sells ready-made latte packets that you can just simply add your preferred milk and drink!
